Half day wOrkshop

Picture

The Milton Meditation Centre presents this half day Experiential Meditation Workshop introducing you to the practical aspects of 'mind yoga'.

Each practice is designed to open a doorway to the experience of deep peace and joy. The techniques are derived from the 8th Century Kashmiri text, the Vijnana Bhairava, considered one of the foremost treatises revealing the mystical aspects of immersion yoga.

The practices are fun to do and use everyday experiences as triggers to transport you to higher states of consciousness and unlock more of your potential.

You can expect to emerge with a fresh perspective on life, feeling more alive, more engaged and more connected. The tools can be used anywhere, anytime to lift you out of negative thinking, fear, anger or self doubt and to expand your sense of calmness and joy. They are transformative aids to your core meditation practice, or can be used as standalone tools.

Beginners and intermediate meditators enjoy these techniques because they add variety to your practice and allow you to apply your skills in the real world. More advanced students will appreciate the boost these tools give to their existing routine and the deepening, integrative effect they bring.

Number of places
Around you, an ocean of air
Ready to become your breath.
Above the head, the glow of an invisible sun.
Within the spaciousness of the heart,
A pulsing throb of creation,
Where the breaths meet, fuse
And transform into each other.
Whenever, wherever your mind wanders,
Whatever you wonder,
R
eturn to the luminous.

Let your attention glide
Through the centers of awareness along the spine
with adoring intent . . . Listen to these as sounds,
then more subtly as an underlying hum,
eventually as most subtle feeling . . . Then diving more deeply, expand into freedom.
